The Divisional Strategic Plan supports the division’s mission and challenges it to work toward its vision - striving to provide transformative pathways where students are empowered to develop as leaders, embrace diversity, and become life-long contributors in a global society.

With core values of Assessment and Accountability, the divisional is committed to continually evaluating and improving practices in order to hold professionals accountable through the collection and use of assessment evidence.

To that end, the divisional Strategic Plan (2018-2023) has an established goal specific to Assessment. The plan outlines the process for Divisional Assessment, the infrastructure to be established in support of the process, the timeline for the process and expected outcomes.

The 2018-2023 divisional strategic plan entitled, Pathway to Student Success, was developed to support students through:

(1) cultivating learning and development experiences;

(2) enhancing infrastructure to provide excellent service and programming; and

(3) encouraging healthy, ethical, and responsible behavior.

Divisional Learning Domains and Outcomes (SLOs) The SLOs of the division outlines learning expectations of students who participate in programs, activities and services. Each learning domain and outcome was developed to support the four institutional learning goals of being Skilled, Connected, Responsible, and Creative; and guide assessment of the 2018 – 2023 division strategic plan entitled, Pathway to Student Success. The student learning domains and learning outcomes will be revisited every five years.

Personal Development (P.D.) Students who engage in divisional programs, activities, and services will develop a better sense of identity and self-awareness.
Practical Problem Solving (P.S.) Students who engage in divisional programs, activities, and services will acquire practical skills that will enable them to provide solutions to problems they will encounter.
Interpersonal Competence (I.C.) Students who engage in divisional programs, activities, and services will develop effective skills to have productive, meaningful relationships with others.
Intercultural and Global Understanding (I.G.) Students who engage in divisional programs, activities, and services will acquire skills and knowledge necessary to work in a diverse, global environment
