Hi! My name is Evan, and I am a junior Music Education/Jazz Studies double major. I live in North Creek in the Adirondack region of New York and outside of college I enjoy playing volleyball, hiking, searching for garnet crystals, and learning about other instruments. Here at Fredonia, I play saxophones and other various woodwinds in groups on and off campus so if you see me anywhere, feel free to say hi! A big tip I can suggest in finding success in anything is to look after and be kind to your future self. You’ll always thank yourself later!

Hey! My name is Bridget (she/her), and I am a fifth-year English Adolescent Education major and Spanish minor. I’m from Buffalo, NY and you can often find me at whatever poetry event or screamo/hardcore/punk show is going on there. When striving for success in college, remember to never be afraid to ask for help! Whether that’s from your professors or even that random peer who sits next to you in class, more people are in the same boat and willing to help than you may think. And you’re in luck—the Learning Center is the place to go with those questions!

I am from Elmira Heights, NY, and I am a gymnastics coach and summer camp director when I'm home! Outside of school, I like reading, staying active, and spending time with my friends. After I graduate, I want to be an elementary music teacher!

Some of my interests include baseball, swimming, and lifting. My one tip for college is to apply course concepts outside of class, whether that's through projects, internships, or something else, as it'll help you be more successful in your career.

Hey y'all! I'm Jacob (he/him), and I'm a Mathematics & Math - Adolescent Education dual major. I grew up in East Amherst and went to Williamsville East High School. I love singing, playing video games, hiking, and learning new things. The best advice I can give for being successful in college is that time management is crucial. With so many things to keep track of, it's essential that you learn how to efficiently manage your time and energy. Calendars and to-do lists are your best friends when trying to handle the busyness of college life!

Hi everyone, my name is Krish. I am a senior majoring in Computer Science with dual minors in Applied Mathematics and Data Science. Fall 2026 will be my final semester at Fredonia, and I will graduate in December 2026 due to academic acceleration. I am from Delhi, India, and I am a huge Real Madrid fan. I also support the New York Yankees and the McLaren Formula 1 team. My advice for college success is to stay organized, plan for setbacks, and keep track of deadlines and responsibilities.

Hello! My name is Kevin (he/him) and I am a junior music education and jazz studies major at Fredonia! I'm originally from Long Island, NY and my hobbies include watching tv, chilling at the Fredonia radio station, playing my bass, and cooking! My biggest tip for being a successful college student is to use a calendar! Personally I use 2.. overkill? NEVER! Aside from that, I highly recommend trying new things out, especially if they are out of your comfort zone, you'd be surprised where each path takes you!

Hey! My name is Nathaniel, and I am a junior Physics major with a minor in Geology as well as Data Science. I am from Rochester, NY. In my free time I enjoy going for walks (a lot) as well as watch video essays on story-based media (Books, TV, Videogames). My biggest tip (especially towards STEM based objectives) is to not be scared to use resources such as YouTube videos or articles online so you can at least get an idea on how to start a problem (make sure they can be trusted though)..

Some of my hobbies include running, hiking, weightlifting, and reading fantasy books. My tip to be successful in college is to take that adage from Dory; "Just keep swimming!"

Hi! My name is Taylor and I am from Alfred, NY. I am a junior molecular genetics major with a minor in psychology. Outside of classes, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, doing crafts, and staying active. One tip that I have for being a successful college student is to find things you enjoy outside of classes, so you can have a healthy balance and not feel overwhelmed. Also, don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it!

My biggest tip for college is to find a balance between working hard and having fun. College goes by faster than you think, so make the most of it!

Outside of being a tutor, I am also a tour guide, resident assistant in Kasling Hall, and a research student in Dr. Brown’s lab. My hobbies include camping, reading, thrifting, and hiking (aka walking and stopping every minute to look at bugs). My tip for succeeding in college is to make close connections with faculty members!

When im not practicing or doing homework, you can most likely find me cooking in the kitchen. One tip I would suggest is plan out your schedules and always find time for work.

Hi! My name is Samantha, and I am a Senior Music Education and Flute Performance Major here at Fredonia. I am from Long Island and outside of school I love to read, hike, travel, and work at my local arts camp over the summer. Two tips I have to be a successful college student are to be organized (calendars, agendas, and assignment trackers can be your best friend!) and to understand that success does not happen overnight: consistent, effective studying, and hard work will reap long-term rewards!

Here at Fredonia, I play for the men's soccer team and also spend time hanging out with friends and watching movies. The best piece of advice I've received since arriving at Fredonia is to find your balance. Study hard, stay healthy, but never forget to find time for the things you love.

Hi! My name is Yashashvi (she/her). I am a junior molecular genetics major with a minor in chemistry from Chikhli, India! When I am not tutoring, you can find me working as an RA in Disney hall, giving campus tours, or doing genetics research in Dr. Ferguson's lab. I love exploring creative hobbies like DIYs, knitting, and crocheting. I also enjoy reading and cooking! My advice for college students is to never hesitate to ask questions, build connections with professors, and embrace opportunities that push you outside your comfort zone. Some of the best growth happens when you try something new.

Due dates sneak up on you quickly so do your best to write down all you have to remember!.

I am originally from the north side of Pittsburgh, about 15 minutes away from downtown. One tip to being successful in college is going to class everyday and to stay organized.

Hi! My name is Leila. I'm a third-year undergraduate student double majoring in communication disorders and sciences and psychology with a Spanish minor. I'm from Remsen, NY, and I love reading, singing, and playing video games. I'm involved in most speech-related clubs on campus, such as Operation Smile, NSSLHA, and ASL Club, so I'm always keeping busy. I'm used to dealing with busy class and club schedules, so I've learned a thing or two about managing workloads. One tip is to divide big assignments into smaller tasks, which minimizes stress and reduces procrastination.
