Fredonia’s Career Development Office (CDO) will host its annual Job and Internship Expo on Wednesday, March 2, from 1 to 4 p.m., in the Williams Center.

The event is free and open to current students as well as SUNY Fredonia alumni.

The CDO did not hold the expo last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, and is very excited to bring it back in 2022.

The Job & Internship Expo is expected to bring to campus more than 80 organization representatives eager to discuss their potential job and internship openings with Fredonia candidates. Areas are expected to include business, energy, financial services, manufacturing, health care, technology, health and human service agencies, retail management, government, law enforcement and many other fields, offering full- and part-time positions, summer jobs and/or paid or for-credit internships.

Representatives will also be available to speak to students more generally about careers in those fields, making it an excellent learning opportunity for students in all class years.

Organizations expected to participate are based in Erie (N.Y.) and Chautauqua counties, as well as the Rochester area and throughout New York State. In addition, there will be several out-of-state organizations participating. Many organizations will be represented by Fredonia alumni.

A full list of participating organizations can be found online at www.fredonia.edu/cdo and participants will continue to be added as the event approaches.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to dress professionally, bring several copies of their résumés or work portfolios, and come prepared by researching the employers and their industries before the event. Job postings from the employers attending will be available in FREDNetwork, the CDO’s job and internship posting database, located on the CDO website. Several companies will return for on-campus interviews in the following weeks.

The CDO encourages students who wish to brush up their resume or their interviewing skill before the event to schedule an appointment using FREDNetwork
