Campus and community will come together for Buffalo News Kids Day

Lisa Eikenburg

Over 270 SUNY Fredonia students and 21 groups will shower the streets of Brocton and Fredonia to help sell a special edition of the Buffalo News for the 2014 Kids Day on Tuesday, April 29 from 6 to 9 a.m.

Volunteers will be posted up at 20 different locations to sell the special edition papers. Proceeds from the sale will help benefit Variety, the Children’s Charity, to benefit Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, the Robert Warner MD Center for Children with Special Needs and Children’s Charities of Western New York.

In 2013, SUNY Fredonia raised over $3,500 with the help and support from the campus groups and the surrounding community. They hope to continue fundraising efforts in the area and encourage people who wish to receive a newspaper to have a dollar ready for the students selling papers.

Any donation to the cause is greatly appreciated.
