Film scores featured on this concert were written by SUNY Fredonia students Katie Thompson, Mary Randall, Seth Rush, Joel Hunt, DJ Brady, Chris Sobolewski, Phil Servati, Adam Shanley, and Jamie Sampson.

Other ETHOS concerts this season include an appearance by eighth blackbird, the annual symposium, Nusound, which this year features French Masters, Fanfares and Dancesl; Tally-Ho!; and Premieres and Encores. See the ETHOS website for dates and details.

Now in its 30th season on campus, ETHOS is a student organization which presents four unique concerts each season, symposia featuring visiting composers, and field trips to hear new music in surrounding cities. Its mission is to promote 20th and 21st century music, including both standard repertoire and compositions by student and faculty composers.

Sponsored by the Student Association, Ethos has, since its founding in 1977, actively encouraged the production of new music including the presentation of visiting composers and performers of national and international reputation. In 2006, Ethos’ contributions were recognized for their excellence in the creative arts.
