“Sing for a Cure,” a fundraiser presenting a cappella singing groups well known on campus, personal testimonies from women battling breast cancer and a raffle, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Williams Center Multipurpose Room.

The student group, Fredonia Association of Students for Safer Intimacy and STD Testing (FredASSIST), is staging the annual fundraiser in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Admission is $2 for students, $5 for faculty, staff and community members, and free for children age 10 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office at Williams Center Room G-140. Those who cannot attend the event can help by donating a gift basket or purchasing chances on gift baskets. Baskets for the raffle will be displayed on the first floor of McEwen Hall on Oct. 21 and 22.

All proceeds will benefit Circle of Love, a volunteer organization in Dunkirk founded by Josie Christopher in 1990 to provide comfort and cancer support services to patients, family and friends.
