The research project “Stock Splits and Cash Flows: A New Test of the Signaling Hypothesis,” initiated in 2015 by Drs. Taihyeup Yi and Julie Fitzpatrick of the School of Business, confirmed that the stock market reacts positively to announcements of stock splits, even though these splits have no net effect on a shareholder’s wealth.
Dr. Lei Huang is co-author of the paper, "Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships for Sustainability: Designing Decision Making Processes for Partnership Capacity," with Drs. Amelia Clarke and Adriane MacDonald being published in the forthcoming issue of the Journal of Business Ethics.
A new book, “The Imperfect Duties of Management,” by Dr. Richard Robinson of the School of Business, was published in early September by Palgrave-Macmillan.
Research by Dr. Donald Barnes, assistant professor in the School of Business, is adding to the growing material lending credence to the idea that there’s something new in the transaction of buying and selling. It’s called “customer delight,” and it’s not just a myth, Dr. Barnes said.
