This weekend, the Student Opera Theatre Association presents Opera Scenes, an annual event showcasing the talents of over 70 college students collaborating to re-create scenes from operas written by Henry Purcell, Michael Torke and Lee Hoiby.
Reed Library will host a photographic exhibit from March 4 to 28 titled, “Growing Season: The Life of a Migrant Community.” The images and stories detail the lives of roughly 160 Mexican and Mexican-American workers on a farm in Hartville, Ohio, and their families, in a community of roughly 300 that is established on the perimeter of the farm fields.
The current production of “The Venetian Twins” at SUNY Fredonia offers its own unique take on a work considered to be a commedia dell’arte classic. Director James P. Ivey, professor of performance, praised the vision students have brought to the Mainstage production.

On March 5, the College Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. David Rudge, will perform in King Concert Hall at 8 p.m. The program features guest baritone Mark Diamond as soloist.
