Repair Fair slated as part of Earth Month festivities

As part of Fredonia's Earth Month celebration, a new event, a Repair Fair, will be hosted on Monday, April 16, from 12:30 until 4 p.m. A full slate of Earth Month activities and opportunities, including an electronics recycling day, begins on Saturday, April 7, and continues through Sunday, April 22.

Students conduct Relay for Life on campus

A walk to benefit the American Cancer Society will be hosted at Fredonia on Saturday, April 21, beginning at 4 p.m. and continuing until Sunday, April 22 at 4 a.m., in Steele Hall. Relay for Life offers everyone in the community, as well as students, faculty and staff, an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer.

International poetry reading slated for April

The Office of International Education, Department of English, and English Works club is sponsoring an International Poetry Reading on Wednesday, April 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Japanese Garden Area of Reed Library.

Theatre students shine at USITT Tech Olympics

Fredonia Theatre students chalked up their best performance in recent memory in Tech Olympics competition at the national conference of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) capturing three first places and a pair of second and third places. The contingent also returned to campus with second-best overall team honors.

Communication students take on Buffalo

On Tuesday, March 6, students from Fredonia’s chapters of the Applied Communication Association (ACA) and Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) toured WKBW Channel 7 News headquarters, as well as E3 Communications, a public relations firm.

Health Professions Club to host Accepted Student Panel

The Accepted Student Panel, an opportunity for students to gain valuable insight from seniors enrolled in the Department of Biology who will enter medical and other professional schools this fall, will be held on Tuesday, May 1, at 5:30 p.m. in Science Center Room 126.
