SUNY Fredonia faculty and staff will begin receiving information in their campus mail on how to contribute to scholarships, or to endowments that benefit their favorite departments and programs.

Through the annual All-Campus Appeal, the Fredonia College Foundation makes a special effort to draw in needed support from faculty and staff to help maintain and expand SUNY Fredonia’s excellence. Employees will receive appeal materials in their campus mail on how to contribute, whether it is through payroll deduction or cash contribution.

The All-Campus Appeal is coordinated with other fundraising activities of the Fredonia College Foundation, which reaches out to alumni, parents, businesses, foundations and emeritus faculty and staff, as well as the community at large, to support the university. Coordinator of the campaign is Director of Development Tim Murphy.

All faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the appeal effort through payroll deduction or with gifts of cash to the Fredonia College Foundation. Donors wishing to establish new endowments are encouraged to contact the Fredonia College Foundation office at extension 3321. It’s easy to give online >>

“Fredonia’s faculty and staff have a long history of giving to the university in a variety of ways, including financial support,” stated President Virginia S. Horvath. “Each year gifts to the All-Campus Appeal support enhancements to ongoing programs that directly assist and impact students.”

The Fredonia College Foundation is a private, non-profit corporation that exists solely to support the university. Gifts to the foundation provide the necessary funds for scholarships and other initiatives such as library resources, equipment, exhibitions and performances that state resources can no longer support. The foundation was established in 1964 during the presidency of Oscar A. Lanford to encourage and accept private gifts and endowments from individuals and corporations in order to support students, faculty, and programs of the SUNY Fredonia.
