Fredonia, N.Y. — Nov. 13, 2008 — The SUNY Fredonia Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) group will be holding a financial planning seminar on Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. in Jewett Hall Room 101. The presentation is free and open to all students, faculty, and the general public.

Four students from the Integrated Marketing Communication class, along with a guest speaker from First Investors, will present on various economic issues that pertain to graduating students and community members. They will discuss the importance of the economic climate in our country today, how students can prepare for retirement, how to successfully save, and how to pay back student loans.

SUNY Fredonia seniors Jessica Jacobson of Amherst, NY, Daniel Gorman of Palmyra, NY, Alyssa Perfetti of Webster, NY, and Jeffrey Moretti of Pittsford, NY will be presenting material and specific case studies to the attendees.

“Our country’s economic situation makes it critical for young adults to understand the important financial strategies they need to know for the future” said Ms. Jacobson. “If students start implementing these strategies now, they will become even more successful in the future.”
