The SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office has returned its operations to the Williams Center. The office is now located in room G-144, which is directly across from its previous Williams Center location.

Since May, the Ticket Office had been operating out of the Marvel Theatre lobby in Rockefeller Arts Center while a variety of construction projects took place at the Williams Center. One of these was a new, larger ticket office created using Herman Miller “open office” transaction counters, partitions and work stations provided by the Millington Lockwood Company of Buffalo.

Alison Barry, manager of ticketing and customer service, said the new location will offer about six times the square footage of the previous location and a quieter environment.

“We’re very happy to be moving to a larger space. Not only will it allow us to better serve our customers, it will provide a more conducive space for our arts administration students to learn the art and science of public event ticketing,” Mrs. Barry said.

The new office also does away with the glass partitions which separated the customers from the staff in the previous Williams Center location.

In addition to selling tickets to events at Rockefeller Arts Center and Rosch Recital Hall, the campus ticket office sells bus tickets; discounted movie passes and serves as a Western Union money transfer agent.

Popular shows currently on sale include “Broadway Showstoppers” on Sept. 27, “Jason and the Argonauts” on Sept. 28 and “Kids for President” on Oct. 3.

There are two designated parking spots for Ticket Office customers in the Dods Hall parking lot, near the bus stop by the Williams Center.

Ticket Office hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. The telephone number is 716-673-3501 (1-866-441-4928) and telephone customers can charge tickets to major credit cards for a nominal service fee. Tickets are also available online, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is no service fee for online purchases.
