SIFE Team creates website and forum for bike lending program

Christine Davis Mantai

Spoke Folk, a local not for profit volunteer organization that works throughout the Dunkirk/Fredonia community to promote the use of bicycles as means of primary transportation, has announced the launch of a new website with online forum created by a SIFE Team at SUNY Fredonia

The release of their new website http://www.spokefolk.net and the launch of their online forum, Wheel People, where anyone can post questions, answers, ideas, thoughts, observations, etc. The forum is a place to collaborate about healthy lifestyles, fitness, "going green", alternative forms of transportation, reducing waste, energy efficiency, and everything else imaginable. The website offers more information about Spoke Folk, their location, their programs, volunteer opportunities, etc. The site and forum are not only valuable resources for people living within the SUNY Fredonia community, but both were created by one of the Fredonia SIFE teams, the Wheel Deal, as part of their semester project.
