Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science
Exercise Science Program
The Exercise Science program prepares students for a variety of career goals in applied human physiology. The major requires courses in exercise science, biology, chemistry, physics, statistics, and psychology. The senior capstone requires students to complete a senior level experience in research, internship or specialized coursework, and provides a significant experience in problem solving, written and oral communication.
Our graduates pursue advanced study in health related areas, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and sports medicine, and in graduate programs in athletic training and exercise physiology. They are also prepared for career opportunities in health education, cardiac rehabilitation, advanced personal training, health and fitness instruction, weight management consulting, and strength and conditioning.
