Looking for a way to get home and back for October Break, Thanksgiving Break, the December/January Winter Break or the March Spring Break? A variety of options can be found at the website for the campus ticket office  Just click on the transportation tab in the left-hand column of the website. There, you will find the following options:

  • FredRide, New York State’s official ride-sharing program. You need to register for the system. Although it is primarily intended for people wishing to carpool to and from work or school, it also allows users to offer or search for one-time trips by entering desired dates of travel and destination. It is basically a system that matches people seeking rides with people who have space for extra passengers.
  • The ticket office is an authorized sales agent for Western New York’s regional bus service, Coach USA. This carrier has several buses each day to Buffalo, Jamestown and points in between. For Buffalo, it goes to the downtown NFTA/Metro Transportation Center terminal where connections can be made on a variety of carriers including Greyhound and Trailways. The Metro station is also only a few blocks from the Exchange Street stop of Amtrak. The one-way bus fare to Buffalo is only $6.20.
  • Tickets for Fredonia’s October Break Shuttle Bus service to the Buffalo Airport and the Depew Amtrak Station are now on sale at the Fredonia Ticket Office on the main floor of the Williams Center. Thanks to an allocation of funds from the student transportation fee, the price has been reduced to $35. This service will continue for Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring Breaks. Tickets go on sale one month before each break.

Starting with Fredonia’s Thanksgiving Break, the Fredonia Ticket Office will also be selling tickets for Fredonia’s Term Break Charter Service to Long Island, Manhattan, Tarrytown, Middletown and Binghamton. Price varies by destination ($60 to $80), and as with the shuttle service, prices have been reduced from last year. Tickets go on sale about one month before each break. Early purchase is strongly encouraged, as these buses tend to sell out.

The Fredonia Ticket Office is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Complete information about these transportation options is available on the transportation tab on the ticket office website. Transportation tickets cannot be purchased online, but can be purchased over the phone during ticket office hours at (716) 673-3501. A $6.00 convenience fee applies to all phone orders.
