Hail the Summer Sessions Taxi!

SUNY Fredonia students will be treated to a free ride to their campus destination of choice and a free music download card today on Wednesday, April 16, courtesy of the Lifelong Learning and Special Programs department. All they have to do is hail the Summer Sessions taxi, driven by Eric Skowronski, director of Lifelong Learning.

Nezhukumatathil's poems anthologized

In a landmark anthology by W.W. Norton, considered to be the most ambitious, far-reaching collection of contemporary Asian and Middle Eastern poetry available, poems by English Professor Aimee Nezhukumatathil have been published.

Reybrouck selected for Lanford Presidential Prize

Christopher P. Reybrouck, whose career at SUNY Fredonia encompassed leadership positions, wide-ranging service and many individual honors, will receive the 2008 Lanford Presidential Prize from the Oscar and Esther Lanford Endowment at the college’s morning Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 17.

High school students will tour College of Education

High school students from local school districts and the Cassadaga Job Corps Center will be making visits to the College of Education this month to learn more about financial aid, the undergraduate and graduate programs in education, student activities at SUNY Fredonia, and to tour the campus.

Five students receive SUNY Chancellor’s Award

Fredonia’s Chancellor’s Award winners stood proudly in accepting their honors on stage at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany recently. The students who won the award this year were Kathryn Kornacki, Alden Edson, Kathryn Tarnowski, Scott Horsington, and Ashley Lenz.
