Through rarely performed masterpieces, the Toronto-based Elizir Baroque Ensemble takes audiences on a historical journey through Germany, Italy, France and England of the 17th and 18th centuries, featuring works by Biber, Handel, Purcell, Rameau and Castello.
Parents and family members of SUNY Fredonia students will descend upon the campus for Family Weekend starting Friday, Sept. 30, to enjoy a variety of attractions, from performances to athletic contests to area tours, sponsored by Campus Life Office with assistance from the Faculty Student Association and Spectrum Entertainment Board.

Craig Schulman was a student at SUNY Fredonia more than three decades ago when “the hook was set” for him to become a professional performer. “I have very warm, found memories of Fredonia,” he said. “It will be great to be back. I had a wonderful time there.” As a professional performer, he has been on major stages around the world – his starring roles have included the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s “The Phantom Of The Opera,” Jean Valjean in “Les Misérables” and the title roles in “Jekyll & Hyde.”
Forty SUNY Fredonia students are being offered the once-in-a-lifetime chance to compete in a special Guitar Hero competition in front of a celebrity judging panel that includes Vicarious Visions Chief Executive Officer Karthik Bala.
Performing with her husband, students, and solo, Laura Koepke, Bassoon professor, will present chamber works in Rosch Recital Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 20. The recital starts at 8 p.m. at Rosch Recital Hall, and is free and open to the public.
