When junior Cody Beckwith took a job as a work study in the Financial Aid Office, he never dreamed he would have an impact on thousands of college students across the state for years to come.That is exactly what happened when Beckwith and eight other Fredonia students were involved in an effort to ensure the state’s Higher Education Services Corp. Excelsior Scholarship application process was easy to understand for all students.
Erie County (N.Y.) Legislator Barbara Miller-Williams will be visiting Fredonia on Monday, April 16, to offer a lecture on women in politics in Williams Center Room S204 at 1 p.m. Williams will offer tips on how to become civically engaged, and provide insight on both her experiences as a politician, and her many years of service to the community.

Reed Library is celebrating National Poetry Month with the installation of a "Poem Dispenser." Created using a Raspberry Pi 3 and thermal printer, the dispenser prints out a random poem at the push of a button.

Students from various fields in the Department of Visual Arts and New Media will be selling their work at a student art sale in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room on Monday, April 23, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thirty percent of the proceeds will be going to a local food pantry.
