Hegna co-edits special issue of Zoological Studies journal

Department of Geology and Environmental Sciences Assistant Professor Thomas Hegna organized and co-edited, with D. Christopher Rogers of the University of Kansas, a special issue of the journal Zoological Studies devoted to fossil and modern clam shrimp, a group of small, freshwater crustaceans.

Senior awarded third place in BAPG’s Virtual Geology Scholarship Event

Trevor Dwyer was awarded third place and a cash prize for his presentation, “Pressure-Temperature Conditions of Migmatite from Lac Dumoine Terrane, Western Grenville Province," at the Buffalo Association of Professional Geologists’ Virtual Geology Scholarship Event.

Purtill writes article published in Quaternary Times

Department of Geology and Environmental Sciences Assistant Professor Matthew Purtill wrote a short article, which introduces the Eastern U.S. Eolian Geoarchaeology Project (EUSEGP), that was published in the spring edition of Quaternary Times, a publication of the American Quaternary Association Inc.

Department of Geology and Environmental Sciences Assistant Professor Matthew Purtill is a co-author of "Shifting the Gaze of the Physician from the Body to the Body in a Place: A Qualitative Analysis of a Community-based Photovoice Approach to Teaching Place-health Concepts to Medical Students,” an article published in February edition of PLOS ONE.
