Works created by faculty members of the Department of Visual Arts and New Media will be on display in the Cathy and Jesse Marion Art Gallery at SUNY Fredonia beginning Nov. 1.  The “SUNY Fredonia Faculty Exhibition” opens with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1. It runs through Nov. 21.

“The Faculty Exhibition provides an opportunity for students and the campus community to see the work of faculty and a chance to experience the talents and wonderfully diverse interests of the department,” Gallery Director Tina Hastings said.

Participating artists are Amanda Besl-Treeby, Bob Booth, Jason Dilworth, Tim Frerichs, Phil Hastings, Steve Komp, Liz Lee, Alberto Rey, Hide Sadohara, Peter Tucker and Megan Urban.

“Many of the faculty will be exhibiting recently completed works,” Hastings said. “Work spans many different mediums including ceramics, experimental video, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.”

Both the reception and the exhibition are free and open to the public.

Gallery hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 12 to 4 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 12 to 6 and Sunday 12 to 4 p.m. The gallery, which is located on the main level of the Michael C. Rockefeller Arts Center, is closed Mondays and during campus breaks.
