Policies for Campus Awareness
The Office of Title IX and Advocacy seeks to ensure that the campus community complies with all federal and state laws and SUNY policies and procedures and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, creed, age, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, familial status, pregnancy, predisposing genetic characteristics, military status, domestic violence victim status, or criminal conviction.
A SUNY-wide grievance procedure is available to all students and employees in cases of discrimination. If you feel you have been a victim of discrimination for any of the above reasons, feel free to contact the Office of Title IX and Advocacy to file an Affirmative Action complaint. Persons who wish to initiate such a grievance or complaint should also consult the Dispute Resolution page for detailed information on the filing process.
The Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Complaint Procedure has been revised: November 2025. This replaces the former document number: 6501 with the former effective date: October 09, 2018.
