SUNY Fredonia International Entrepreneurship Program

This non-credit bearing certificate program provides information to international participants on a pathway to doing business in the United States. The program is a four week in-person or online seminar in entrepreneurship and business featuring premier scholars, successful entrepreneurs and industry leaders.

Overview:

The program takes place at the SUNY Fredonia Center for Innovation and Economic Development (CIED), located in the waterfront district of Dunkirk, New York. Part of the School of Business, the Center is a collaborative hub for entrepreneurship, economic development and community engagement. CIED’s business incubator program provides entrepreneurs access to work ready space, paths to funding, highly qualified mentors, business consulting, legal and accounting services, assistance with business formation, networking opportunities and access to faculty and student interns.

Program Information:

A four-week program that:

  • Offers mentors, programs and instruction
  • Provides guest lecturing opportunities for scholars
  • Prepares scholars to become business owners, mentors or trainers
  • Offers local industry tours
  • Provides assistance from attorneys in residence in filing appropriate immigration status (EB5 or similar) paperwork 
  • Includes a certificate presentation (scholars will receive paper certificate)

Program Fee: $4,500 (does not include lodging)

Program Start Dates:

  • September 3, 2024 - Application Submission Deadline: August 2, 2024
  • October 21, 2024 - Application Submission Deadline: September 20, 2024
