The 16th Annual Student Research and Creativity Exposition will be held on Thursday, May 1, in the William Center Multipurpose Room. The free event is from 1 to 6:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
Students in the Women's and Gender Studies program senior capstone course, Gender and Social Change, are holding a, "Jog for Justice 3k Fun Run," on Sunday, April 27 at 1 p.m., as their community engagement project. There is a $10 registration fee for participants which will include refreshments and a t-shirt for the first 200 people who register. All are welcome to participate in this event.
Professor Elizabeth Lee was awarded the SUNY Fredonia Inaugural Marion Fellowship for the Visual and Performing Arts for the 2013-2014 year. On Thursday, May 1 she will be presenting, “Cosmological Process,” at 5:30 p.m. in Marvel Theatre. The new Art Gallery Director will be also announced and the 2014-2015 Marion Fellow will be introduced. The event is free and all are welcome.
The SUNY Fredonia Wind Ensemble will give its final performance of the academic year on Wednesday, April 30 at 8 p.m. in King Concert Hall. The event is free and open to the public. The concert will feature a diverse program of works under the direction of Dr. Paula Holcomb.

Over 270 SUNY Fredonia students and 21 groups will shower the streets of Brocton and Fredonia to help sell a special edition of the Buffalo News for the 2014 Kids Day on Tuesday, April 29 from 6 to 9 a.m. Volunteers will be posted up at 20 different locations to sell the special edition papers.
Five employees with 100 years of collective service at SUNY Fredonia were among those honored at the annual President’s Awards for Excellence and Service Recognition Luncheon. More than 250 people filled the Williams Center Multipurpose Room for the April 23 gathering that also recognized recent and soon-to-be retirees and awarded service pins and certificates to employees reaching milestone anniversaries.
