The Music Therapy Club will host its annual Music Therapy Awareness Week from Feb. 6 through 10. The awareness week will open with professional therapist Erica Iocco’s presentation on her private practice on Monday, Feb. 6 at 6:30 p.m. in Mason 2018. An annual interactive recital will conclude the week-long event on Friday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. in the Diers Recital Hall. The entire set of programs is open to the public with free admission
The innovative six credit program, “Stewardship of Public Lands: Politics and the Yellowstone Ecosystem,” is designed to engage and educate students in political disputes about public lands, public resources, and environmental issues. The linked Biology and English courses will take place this July in the federally reserved park known for its wildlife, subalpine forests, and geothermal features. The park is centered over the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest supervolcano on the continent.
A unique look into the venerable European country Bulgary will be presented by Dr. Reneta Barneva, Computer and Information Sciences professor, at the Monday, Feb. 6 International Brown Bag Luncheon at noon in the Fenton Hall English Reading room. Her talk, “Bulgaria – The Best-Kept Secret,” will reveal little-known information about Europe’s oldest country that’s also one of the newest members of the European Union.
