Workshops devoted to pitching effective presentations and creating a Business Model Canvas will be held this week at the Fredonia Technology Incubator.
The 9th Fredonia Job & Internship Expo is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20 from noon to 3 p.m. in the Williams Center. Hosted by the Career Development Office, the expo will bring to campus more than 75 organizations eager to discuss their potential job and internship openings with Fredonia candidates.
With holidays rapidly approaching, the Playground Drama Camp and the Playground Academy are teaming up to present a Christmas extravaganza for area children on Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk.
Students, faculty and staff at Fredonia can have a front-row seat for up-to-the-minute results of the highly anticipated mid-term elections at the Election Results Watch Party on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room. Live television coverage of voter tallies at the polls will be projected on a large screen, beginning at 9 p.m.
The university, the Village of Fredonia and the City of Dunkirk are working together to advance an economic development plan, Central Connection, that will serve as a road map for investment and development along Central Avenue. A Memorandum of Understanding for the project was signed on Oct. 17.
