Scotland portrayals in films topic of new Study Abroad course
Scottish Representation in Cinema, a new study abroad program, has been approved by the Office of International Education and will be offered through Fredonia starting in Summer 2021.

Carl Aldinger, a rising senior majoring in Communication: Video Production and Spanish, has been awarded a national Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, valued at $3,000, to support a study abroad experience in Ecuador during the Spring 2021 semester.

Drout appointed SUNY Distinguished Service Professor
Dr. Cheryl Drout, a professor in the Department of Psychology at Fredonia, was appointed a SUNY Distinguished Service Professor, effective March 18.
Advocacy the topic of journalist Hasan in campus talks
Mustafa Hasan, an advocate and journalist in Iraq, will be visiting campus March 11-13 to meet with campus groups, deliver guest lectures, and present on the “Role of Journalism in Advocacy” through the American Democracy Project (ADP).

Insight into how students can enhance their education at Fredonia through study in a foreign country will be offered at a study abroad fair on Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the McEwen Hall vestibule adjacent to the Faculty Student Association café.
