The Fredonia State Men's Soccer team tied SUNY Oswego, 1-1, for their first SUNYAC matchup of the year. Neither team had a lot going offensively, combining for nine shots on goal for the evening.
After a scoreless first half, Katie Sellers of the Fredonia State women's soccer team broke through with a goal in the 53rd minute to give the Devils a 1-0 lead. That lead would hold up until the 71st minute when St. John Fisher tied the game.
Fredonia State Men's Soccer closed out the Blue Devil Classic with a win over Houghton University, with a final score of 2-1. It was the Blue Devils first win on the year, improving their record to 1-2-1.
Fredonia State Women's soccer team closed out the Blue Devil Classic with a tie against Ithaca College, with a score of 2-2. The tie was just enough to give the Blue Devils the weekend victory of the entire tournament.
The Fredonia State men's soccer team finished their tournament contest with a matchup against Wooster College, on Sunday evening. The contest was back and fourth throughout the entire, leading to a final score of 2-2.
The Athletics Hall of Fame Induction and Dinner is Saturday, Oct. 8, starting with a reception at 5 p.m. inside the Dods Hall Gymnasium. The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. and the ceremony will follow dinner in Mason Hall Room 1080.
The Fredonia State Cheerleading team will play host to a Game Day Competition in Steele Hall on Saturday, Sept. 24, beginning at 3:15 p.m. It is open to all area Modified, JV and Varsity teams.

Tyler Ebner was named the Assistant Coach of the Fredonia State men's hockey program beginning with the 2022-2023 season.
After serving in an interim capacity the past season, William Bradley was named the full-time coach of the Fredonia State Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams. Bradley is a 2018 graduate of Fredonia State and a native of Dunkirk.
