National Constitution Day Dialogue

Hosted by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU)’s American Democracy Project, the “National Constitution Day Dialogue” is designed to reach across differences and create a space for open discussion of the U.S. Constitution. This national, facilitated dialogue is based on the fundamental value of pursuing knowledge for the public good. Participants will gain new information about the U.S. Constitution and have a facilitated dialogue. CLICK HERE to register.
Constitution Day Keynote Address
Wednesday, September 18th (11 am - 11:30 am) @ Williams Center S204-DE
Bob McCarthy, a WKBW-TV political analyst, will deliver this year’s Constitution Day keynote, “Freedom of the Press – It's in the Constitution!”. The address by the retired Buffalo News reporter will center on the relationship between politicians and reporters and how those in power cannot hide from their obligation to interact with the press. All are welcome to participate in an informal conversation with Bob over a FREE lunch from 12-1 in the same room. ADP sponsors the event with support from the Carnahan Jackson Humanities Fund of the Fredonia College Foundation.
NY Equal Rights Amendment Panel

ADP and the League of Women Voters of Chautauqua County will co-host a panel on the NY Equal Rights Amendment, a constitutional amendment on this year’s ballot in NYS. The panel will discuss what adding an Equal Rights Amendment to our state constitution would mean. Light refreshments will be served, followed by lunch. All are welcome to attend the panel and join us for a FREE lunch at Noon.
