Safety on campus
Fredonia is committed to providing the campus community a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We have trained professionals, strong policies, reliable systems, and educational programming to maintain a safe community environment and timely notifications.
University Police officers are dedicated to public safety 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Trained and certified as police officers in New York State, they are vigilant and visible on campus and in the community. University Police provides emergency response, routine patrols, and a 24/7 monitored emergency phone line.
Escort bus is operated by University Police and provides rides from parking lots to residence halls.
Silent Witness program provides a place to anonymously report a crime on campus.
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal civil rights law that prohibits sex discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs, including athletic programs, or activities that receive federal funding. Fredonia employs a dedicated Title IX officer to oversee campus compliance and conduct investigations.
