Fall 2026 Auditions
2026-27 Chamber Choir auditions will take place Sunday, August 30th 12 PM - 10 PM in Rosch Recital Hall. Students will need to bring an art song or aria to perform for the choral faculty. A pianist will be provided. Advanced sight ready is a critical component of this audition.
2026-27 auditions for Camerata and College Choir will take place Monday, August 31st and Tuesday, September 1st from 10 AM - 5 PM in Mason 3143. The audition consists of vocalization, a range check, and sight reading.

Fredonia offers four choral ensembles: Chamber Choir, Camerata, and College Choir require an audition; University Chorus is non-auditioned. All choirs are open to all students regardless of major. All vocal music majors must audition for either Chamber Choir, Camerata, or College Choir.
These auditions are intended to facilitate the best and fairest audition experience for you and your studio. We recognize that complications or challenges may exist with this schedule; if you are unable to attend this audition time, please let Dr. Huff know as soon as possible and we will make alternative arrangements.
Chamber Choir

The Fredonia Chamber Choir is the university's premier choral ensemble. Chamber Choirs tours regularly and serves as musical ambassadors for the School of Music, and the university at large. The choir specializes in advanced choral repertoire and provides music for special events and outreach performances. Membership is restricted to second-year (and above) students, or transfer students with a wealth of choral experience. Audition required.
Camerata

Established in 1999, the Fredonia Camerata is a select ensemble with a membership of approximately 30 - 40 singers. This ensemble performs a broad spectrum of treble repertoire ranging from early Renaissance motets through major treble ensemble pieces of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Membership is open to all students. Audition required.
College Choir

College Choir is the oldest choral ensemble at the university. This SATB ensemble sings a wide variety of choral repertoire from the early Baroque through the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Membership is open to all students. Audition required.

University Chorus
