Dublin: History, Literature, and Culture
Fredonia’s Literary Dublin program offers three undergraduate or graduate credits through an immersive, academically rigorous course set in the lively streets and rich cultural centers of a European capital cited among the 30 top capital cities in the world. For 16 days, students read, write, and discuss course material in a classroom setting, then take what they've learned outside, to lively streets, museums, and cultural centers to explore Dublin's complex historical, literary, and cultural heritage. The course also includes excursions out of the city to ancient archaeological sites such as Newgrante, a UNESCO world heritage site that predates Stonehenge, and the 6th century monastic settlement of Glendalough.
