All faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend a panel presentation from SUNY Fredonia students regarding their cultural perspectives, concerns, and experiences. As the campus begins to ponder what it means to be and support a global community, people are asked to come engage with current international and culturally diverse students about their experiences living, learning, and participating in the Fredonia community.
“Night of the Fights” will be presented on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Bartlett Theatre at Rockefeller Arts Center. The 90-minute program will feature combat scenes from various genres with a variety of weaponry. Six different weapons will be included. Tickets are available for a minimum donation of $3 each.
This traditional 15th-century royal banquet and musical program is truly a feast for the senses, with authentic food, costumed performers, rousing music and merriment on a grand scale.
Orchesis Dance Company proudly presents, “Orchesis Unplugged,” on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. in Mason Hall Room 1080. The annual show will feature many talented SUNY Fredonia dancers and choreographers performing various genres of dance including modern, jazz, and tap.

The SUNY Fredonia School of Music announces a rare opportunity to meet legendary Latin jazz trumpeter, Arturo Sandoval, on Sunday, Nov. 10 from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Dunkirk Boys and Girls Club. The meet and greet is free and open to the community, part of the nine-time Grammy artist’s three-day residency at SUNY Fredonia.
Sandoval brings his legendary talent to the SUNY Fredonia School of Music for three days of activities. The main event is Monday, Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. in Rosch Recital Hall.
Today, at 3 p.m., Edinboro University scholar Baher Ghosheh will explore factors that complicate the American war on terror, which was launched after terrorists’ attacks that shocked the nation in 2001, and propose how American foreign policy can minimize future terrorist attacks on American citizens and interests.
SUNY Fredonia will pair up with the League of Women Voters of Chautauqua County on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. to host a speaker and film presentation of, “Makers of the Movement: A Presentation on the Legacy of Women’s Rights from 1945 to the Present,” in the Williams Center Room 103B.
