Grammy-nominated Lupe Fiasco to headline Fred Fest
Hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco will headline this year’s Fred Fest concert, happening Saturday, April 28, from 3 to 9 p.m. in Steele Hall Field House. Fiasco's "The Show Goes On," the biggest hit from his most recent album, "Lasers," peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2011 before reaching double platinum status by the Recording Industry Association of America.
College Symphony Orchestra presents showcase of 20th century music
An all 20th century program will be presented by the College Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. David Rudge, on Saturday, March 3, 8 p.m., at King Concert Hall.

Premiere of "High Plains Fandango" is Mainstage offering Feb 24 through March 3
The Department of Theatre and Dance will stage the world-premiere production this month of a work by award-winning writer Red Shuttleworth. His play “High Plains Fandango” tells of a small town in Nebraska struggling to survive amidst a plot to buy up all of its water rights.
Children’s Concerts Series continues season with African drumming on March 3
The Musical Journeys Program of the Fredonia School of Music continues its sixth season of free concerts designed to appeal to very young children. Selected student ensembles from the Fredonia School of Music will perform half-hour Children's Concerts on four Saturday mornings with two performances at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 am on Saturday, March 3, in the Darwin R. Barker Library, 7 Day Street in Fredonia.
The Vagina Monologues to be staged Feb. 18-19
“V-day” returns to campus with this year’s annual production of the Eve Ensler’s “Vagina Monologues.” The event will take Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. in the Dods Multipurpose Room.
"Skull-A-Day" creator opens Visiting Artists series Thursday
Graphic designer Noah Scalin, whose Skull-A-Day online art project has an international following, will open the spring 2012 Visiting Artist Program at SUNY Fredonia on Thursday, Feb. 16, at 8:30 p.m., at 209 McEwen Hall.
