Bartlett twice All-American in diving at NCAA Division III championships

For the second time, and the fourth time in her career, junior diver Meghan Bartlett is an All-American. Finishing third in the finals of the 3-meter springboard dive at NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships with a score of 454.45, the honor was Bartlett's second after being the runner-up, second in the nation in Division III, in the 1-meter springboard dive during the championships.

Medley relay record falls on day two

Fredonia's school record in the 400-yard medley relay was broken on the second day of SUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships Thursday evening. The team of Troy Lubanski (Leicester, N.Y./York), Jake Favret (Watertown/Watertown), Bill Bradley (Dunkirk/Dunkirk), and Will Baker (East Amherst/Williamsville North) set the new mark at 3:30.01, besting the previous record set at the conference championships in 2014 (3:30.38).

Williams' three beats buzzer, Brockport

Dante Williams' (Buffalo /Hutch Tech) long, arching three found nothing but net as time expired in overtime to give the Blue Devils a thrilling 85-82 win over Brockport on Saturday.

Feldman wins 400, second in 200 at RIT

Brittany Feldman (Jamestown/Southwestern) won the 400 meters and was second in the 200 meters to lead Fredonia to fourth place at Saturday's Rochester Institute of Technology Invitational indoor track and field meet.

Sabrina Macaulay (Newark, N.Y./Newark) turned in her third double-double of the season, scoring 17 points and grabbing 14 boards in the Fredonia women's basketball team's 64-53 win over Brockport.

Divers dominate, Rokos doubles at Grove City

The divers dominated and swimmer Sam Rokos (Delanson/Duanesburg) won two events at Grove City on Saturday as the Fredonia women's swimming and diving team fell to the Wolverines, 144-124.

Weekend sweep; Devils 4-1 in SUNYAC

The Fredonia women's basketball team improved to 4-1 in conference play and 9-3 overall, cruising to 74-54 win at Potsdam. Sarah Sweazy (Rochester, N. Y./Rush Henrietta) led the Devils with 14 points off the bench as the freshman showed her scoring touch over the weekend. She had 13 point in a win over Plattsburgh on Friday. Sweazy also led the Devils with three steals.

Helps' double-double sparks Devils

Ian Helps (Bronx /Greater New York Academy) poured in 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Fredonia men's basketball team earned a 79-69 victory over Potsdam on Saturday. Kareem Brown (Brooklyn/Brooklyn H.S. for Law & Tech) had 16 points and Kasean Jackson (Ridgewood/Grover Cleveland) added 13 points and four assists. Dante Williams (Buffalo/Hutch Tech) was the fourth player in double digits with 10 points.

Macaulay has career night in Blue Devil victory

Senior Sabrina Macaulay (Newark, N.Y./Newark) dominated play on both ends of the court Dec. 30 as the Fredonia women's basketball team turned back Pitt-Bradford, 84-50. She put up 26 points on 11 of 14 shooting and grabbed 19 rebounds, 17 coming on the defensive end. The numbers were career highs for Macaulay. The State University of New York Athletic Conference also selected her on Jan. 4 as its Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Fredonia to offer ice skating lessons in the new year

The new year will welcome a new round of public ice skating lessons at Fredonia, with instruction offered for skaters of all ages and skill levels, beginner through advanced. Cost for 10 weeks of instruction and the concluding spring show is $90.
