Early Voting

Early voting in NYS is all about getting a jump on the voting process and casting a ballot before Election Day. On this page, the American Democracy Project provides resources and valuable information about the early voting process.

What is early voting?

Early voting enables registered voters to vote up to nine days prior to Election DayThis means that if something prevents you from being able to vote on Election Day you have time to vote ahead of time!

Check out this website to find your polling place and to learn more about early voting: https://www.ny.gov/early-voting-new-york

You don't need an excuse to vote early. Just remember, polling sites will NOT be open the day before the Election and if you cast a ballot during the early voting period, you can't vote on Election Day.
