English Language Support Services

There are a variety of services for students with English as a second language. Our tutors work with students in both language related and academic areas.

Writing Tutors:

Tutoring Services, in partnership with Fredonia's English Department, developed additional training for students who want to work as writing tutors in the Learning Center.  These courses, taught by English department faculty prepare students to tutor writing and tutor students whose first language is not English.  Students who would like to apply for a writing tutoring position are required to take ENGL 455. 

Students are encouraged to make full use of available language support services. Our tutors and staff make every effort to support the academic success of Fredonia's students.

EXAM ACCOMMODATIONS:
Testing space is available on the 4th Floor of the Reed Library for ESL students wishing to take course exams with extended time. Exam Accommodation Procedure.
