Croxton to describe Russian Study Abroad trip planned in June

On Wednesday, Feb. 1, Professor Jack Croxton will lead an informational meeting on the upcoming Study Abroad to Russia course planned for June 1 through 20. The informational meeting starts at 4:30 p.m. in 127 Fenton Hall, the English Reading Room. Students will spend most of the time in St. Petersburg and will have a chance to visit Moscow for a few days as well.

Campus set to welcome large Korean student contingent

Nearly 100 students from South Korea will officially become part of SUNY Fredonia when the spring semester begins through a new 1+3 program with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, Korea. SUNY Fredonia faculty, students and staff are invited to attend a welcome ceremony for 95 Korean students on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 11 a.m. at Rosch Recital Hall.

Jon Titus's Botswana Fulbright is topic of International Brown Bag Dec. 5

A year spent living and teaching in Botswana as a Fulbright scholar will be shared by Biology professor Jon Titus at the International Brown Bag Luncheon on Monday, Dec. 5, noon to 12:50 p.m., at the Fenton Hall English Reading Room. His talk, “Giving and Receiving: An Education in Southern Africa,” will explore the culture along with the ups and downs of living in Botswana.

Saakumu Dance Troupe giving workshops Monday, Oct. 24

The Fredonia Percussion Guild is sponsoring a two-day visit to the Fredonia School of Music by the award-winning Saakumu Dance Troupe, featuring a concert on Sunday, Oct. 23, and workshops on Monday, Oct. 24. Led by master of the Ghanaian xylophone Bernard Woma, is one of the leading traditional and contemporary dance and music groups in Ghana, West Africa.
