Puerto Ricans in Central Florida are focus of traveling exhibit

The bilingual exhibit, "Restoring Community History: Puerto Ricans in Central Florida," will open this week at SUNY Fredonia's Reed Library as well as at the Adams Art Gallery in downtown Dunkirk. The exhibit is part of the SUNY Fredonia Convocation Series which this year follows the theme, "Public Service: Challenges and Opportunities."

Premium Blend planning Benefit Show March 4 to fund Disney World performance

SUNY Fredonia's coed a cappella group, "Premium Blend," is working hard to raise money to send itself to Walt Disney World, where it has been invited to perform and represent SUNY Fredonia. Hoping to raise $11,000, the group will be holding a Disney benefit show Thursday, March 4, from 7:30 to 10:30 in The Spot (Williams Center).

Greek tragedy, "Electra," is current Mainstage offering

A classic ancient Greek tale of murder and revenge will unfold as the Department of Theatre and Dance presents its production of Sophocles’ “Electra.” The production opens in Bartlett Theatre at Rockefeller Arts Center on Friday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. Directing the Mainstage production will be James Ivey, professor of acting and directing at SUNY Fredonia.
