Senior Katie Pitcher returned from a four-and-a-half game absence, and helped lead the Fredonia State women's basketball team to the post-season with a 16-point effort in a 68-60 win at Oswego to close out the regular season.
The final day of the SUNYAC meet saw the Devils earn points in three of the six events. In the 1,650 freestyle, senior McKayla Polowy made the medal stand for the second time in the meet and final time in her career.
The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) recognized Fredonia's Matt Letmanski , Cortland's Luca Durante and Geneseo's Peter Morgan as the PrestoSports Men's Ice Hockey Athlete, Goaltender and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
On the second day of the SUNYAC Championships, McKayla Polowy finished third in the 500m freestyle, and was followed in fourth by Rachael Mayou. Polowy finished in 5:12.58 and Mayou in 5:15.73.
Fredonia State men's hockey team faced off against the No. 3 ranked team in the nation, Geneseo, on Feb. 15. The Blue Devils' third period strike was enough to take down the Knights with a final score of 3-2.

Nick Abdo ran the 200m dash in a school-record time, and also put up Fredonia State's third best time ever in the 400m dash Saturday at Boston University. Toby Onuoha had a productive day, turning in two times that ranked in the school's Top 10 all time.
Fredonia State Men's Hockey faced off against SUNYAC opponent, Brockport in a Saturday night matchup. The Blue Devils were able to shut down the Golden Eagles with a final score of 4-0.
Alanna Herne was selected to take over the head coach position for the Fredonia State lacrosse program for the 2022 season.
Fredonia State Men's Basketball team hosted SUNYAC opponent Oneonta on Sunday. Before the contest started, Fredonia State honored the two seniors on their roster; Kreem George and DyDy Bryan. George continued on in the game to log the second most minutes for his team.
