The Courage & Honor Scholarship
Established by Dr. Virginia Horvath to support full time students currently serving in any branch of the military or a veteran who was honorably discharged. This scholarship is open to all majors. Minimum GPA of 3.0 and good moral character required. Scholarship may be renewed if student remains in good academic standing. Apply for Courage & Honor Scholarship Here
The Fredonia Veterans Scholarship
Student must be enrolled full time during the academic year in which the scholarship is awarded. Student must be a veteran or currently receiving a veterans affairs related entitlement. Student must have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. Scholarship may be renewed provided student is in excellent academic standing. If an award recipient is not selected during an academic year the funds will remain invested until a student is identified that meets all of the criteria for the scholarship to be awarded.
How to Apply for a Scholarship
The scholarship is given out each Fall semester. Applications for 2019 Veteran scholarships are due by 5:00pm October 11, 2019. Please complete and submit the Veteran Scholarship Application below:

- Scholarship recipients will be announced each fall by the Veterans Affairs Scholarship Committee.
- Scholarships will be presented during the Veterans Remembrance Ceremony on Friday, November 8th.

The Fredonia Veterans Scholarship Fund will provide financial support to full time academically meritorious students receiving veterans-related entitlements. The Scholarship will celebrate excellence of our students and the freedoms secured through sacrifices and patriotism of our veterans. We are committed to building this endowment to the $10,000 level. We are not yet half-way. Please give to the fund!
With each gift of $50 to the Fredonia Veterans Scholarship Fund, you can submit the name and tour of service of one U.S. veteran to be placed on the Fredonia Veterans Honor Roll. View the Honor Roll
