The Constantine Barker Memorial Fund
This endowment was established by Ruth Barker Winch in honor of her father, Constantine Barker. Mrs. Winch was a former teacher and superintendent of the First and Fourth supervisory Districts of Chautauqua County schools; she helped to establish the Board of Cooperative Education Services in Chautauqua County; assisted with the Elderhostel program at Fredonia; served as President of the Chautauqua-Westfield branch of the American Association of University Women and serves as a role model for women and educators. The Constantine Barker Memorial Fund has regularly and generously provided fellowship funding for summer undergraduate and graduate research opportunities.
