The Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Fredonia offers undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems and a graduate program of Advanced Certificate in Cybersecurity. Our carefully designed programs prepare you for the fast paced world of computing technology and information security. Our courses are industry-oriented and focused towards real-world problem solving.

Year round, our advanced courses in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Image Processing, and Robotics will both excite and challenge you to push the boundary of what is possible. Checkout some of our highlighted courses:

Artificial Intelligence

Overview of artificial intelligence tools and techniques; searching algorithms, genetic algorithms, logical agents, logic based inference, classical planning, and learning.

Machine Learning

An introduction to the algorithms, concepts and applications of machine learning.  

Robotics teaching toys

Robotics

Intro to Robotics joins hardware and software to build simple autonomous robots using easily obtained, low cost components. Students learn circuits, senders, and simple AI while also exploring the societal and ethical issues of robotics.

Advanced Certificate in Cybersecurity

A 100 percent online program, will be offered beginning in the Fall 2022 semester at Fredonia.
