For the fourth straight season, the Dunkirk-based financial institution has pledged $10,000 as the season sponsor at the arts center. This investment by Lake Shore Savings goes to support a lineup of diverse entertainment events.

Welch’s/National Scholarships have been awarded to two sisters attending SUNY Fredonia. Sophomore Halee and Senior Kazlin Mason of Westfield, N.Y. each received $1,100 awards for the 2010-11 academic year. Welch’s and the National Grape Cooperative endowed the scholarship with the Fredonia College Foundation for students at SUNY Fredonia with academic merit and who are the children or grandchildren of their employees or grower-owners.
SUNY Fredonia alumnus William E. Finn (’83. Bus. Admin.), President and Chief Executive Officer for The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPC) in Buffalo, N.Y., will return to his alma mater this Tuesday, May 11.
