One-day workshop to certify fitness teachers is planned

SUNY Fredonia is hosting a national certification to teach group fitness on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This one-day program is designed for fitness enthusiasts who would be interested in teaching group fitness classes. The course will be offered by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, the world’s largest fitness education company.

21 retirees to be recognized at annual dinner

The SUNY Fredonia Retirement Recognition Dinner will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 16 in the Horizon Room in the Williams Center. This dinner is a collaborative initiative among the SUNY Fredonia Office of the President, UUP, CSEA, Council 82, and PEF. The cost of the dinner is $16.50 per person.

Stroke Support Group starts meeting Sept. 16

The Youngerman Center for Communication Disorders at SUNY Fredonia will resume offering support group meetings for stroke and head injury survivors and family members. The group will meet the first and third Tuesday of the month at 3 p.m. in room W127 Thompson Hall. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
