The Raphy Report, a student-run, multi-topic news show produced by TRR Productions, has recently settled into the SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator. TRR Productions is the first organization in the Incubator operated solely by SUNY Fredonia students. While TRR Productions began with only a handful of hosts and a few students interested in TV and digital film production, it has grown to over 50 interns pursuing such majors as graphic design, business, public relations, journalism, accounting, theater, art and computer science.
On the heels of a successful year of awards and other achievements, SUNY Fredonia’s Fredonia Radio Systems has gained national attention from the New York Times. An article focusing on college internet radio features Fredonia's all internet station WDVL 89.5 as an example of a college station using social media and other platforms to remain on the cutting edge of college broadcasting.
Jennifer Cinque, a SUNY Fredonia graduate who has already demonstrated a proven record of success in several positions within Student Affairs, has been appointed Internship Coordinator and Career Counselor in the Career Development Office.

The Dunkirk Local Development Corporation recently approved $45,000 in new loans for Selling Hive and Henlie, tenants of the SUNY Technology Incubator, in order to continue the economic development momentum in the City. In addition the Board developed a permanent loan program specifically designed to assist Incubator tenants in flourishing within the City. The new loan program allows Incubator business to apply for up to $30,000 in funding in two $15,000 increments.
SUNY Fredonia’s Volunteer and Community Services Department, which is a part of Campus Life, will host its seventh “Operation Breakfast Rescue” Nov. 1 - 3, on campus. Donors are asked to provide non-perishable foods such as oatmeal, cream of wheat, a variety of cold cereals, pancake mixes, breakfast bars, baby formula, canned fruit and other shelf-stable breakfast foods.

SUNY Fredonia ushered in a new era of fine arts on Saturday afternoon as it opened its newly renovated art gallery, which coincided with its renaming as the Cathy and Jesse Marion Art Gallery, in honor of Cathy (Calannio) Marion, a Jamestown native and a member of the class of 1979, and her husband, Jesse, who are avid supporters of the arts around the world. The 2,180-square-foot gallery features a movable wall system, climate-controlled space with temperature and humidity control, blonde bamboo flooring, a grand entrance and new office space. "To have an exhibition gallery of this quality, it raises the bar significantly for our entire program," Visual Arts and New Media Chairperson Bob Booth said.
