It is the time of year that faculty and staff at SUNY Fredonia will begin receiving information in their campus mail on how to contribute to scholarships, or to endowments that benefit their favorite departments and programs. Through the annual All-Campus Appeal, the Fredonia College Foundation makes a special effort to draw in needed support from faculty and staff to help maintain and expand SUNY Fredonia's excellence.
More than 100 SUNY Fredonia juniors, seniors and graduate students will be inducted into the 2012 class of the Golden Key International Honour Society. The SUNY Fredonia chapter also is inducting five honorary members. Membership into Golden Key is by invitation only; students being recognized are in the top 15 percent of their class at SUNY Fredonia, based on academic achievement.

The DFT Communications Pops Series features a mix of popular musical styles including everything from light classics, jazz and Dixieland to show tunes and big band. Artists who have appeared in the series include Roger Williams, Dave Brubeck, the Four Freshmen and The Three Irish Tenors. DFT Communications has returned for its sixth season as the sponsor of the flagship entertainment series.
The Jewish Student Union at SUNY Fredonia, also known as Hillel, will be hosting a panel discussion entitled, "Jewish 101" on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in Thompson Hall Room W101. The panelists will take questions from the audience and speak about their personal experiences and beliefs concerning Judaism.

Producer, engineer, composer and musician Armand Petri, head of the SUNY Fredonia's Music Business program, was one of 12 people into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame on Oct. 4.
