Language and literature expert headlines research conference

The Women's Studies Student Research Conference will take place with dinner and presentations by award-winning student researchers in the Horizon Room of the Williams Center on Wednesday, March 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. Serving as keynote speaker will be Dr. Amanda Godley of the University of Pittsburgh, an expert in the field of language and literature.

Rochester builder earns Contractor of the Year Award

LeChase Construction Services, LLC made a strong impression with its first building project at SUNY Fredonia, winning the university’s “Contractor of the Year” award for 2008. Rochester-based LeChase served as construction manager for the complete reconstruction of the 28,000 square-foot Center Pointe Lounge Complex

The individual in history is celebrated in competition

Celebrating “The Individual in History,” students from Chautauqua County schools recently had the chance to present performances, exhibits, and documentaries on individuals who made history. The regional competition was hosted by SUNY Fredonia as part of a statewide contest which will send winning students to a national competition.

S.A. president voted top-ranked attorney at Mock Trial

Nicholas Dhimitri was voted the top-ranked attorney by the presiding judges at the Third Annual Finger Lakes Regional American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) tournament, held at the Syracuse University School of Law last month. The Fredonia Student Association president garnered a perfect score and was ranked as the number-one student among more than 80 students.
