“V-day” returns to campus with this year’s annual production of the Eve Ensler’s “Vagina Monologues.” The event will take Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. in the Dods Multipurpose Room.
Note: This event has been cancelled for this year due to the low number of presale tickets purchased and the many other events scheduled for the weekend. It is anticipated that in 2013 the event will again be held in the newly-renovated Williams Center. Red carpet attire is highly recommended for those who participate in SUNY Fredonia's 6th annual Oscar Night on Sunday, Feb. 26, in Cranston Marche. Attendees have chances to win the grand prize by guessing the most number of correct Oscar winners on their ballot.

SUNY Fredonia’s Chinese Club invites the campus and community to celebrate the Year of the Dragon on Saturday, Feb. 18. The dragon is the fifth sign of the Chinese zodiac. The dinner will take place in the Horizon Room of the Williams Center at 6 p.m.
A cutting-edge, dark comedy, “Our Lady of 121st Street”, will be presented by SUNY Fredonia’s Performing Arts Company beginning Friday, Feb. 11, in Fenton Hall Room 105. The play, written by New York playwright and screenwriter Stephen Adly Guirgis, presents a wake in a Harlem neighborhood for the formidable nun, Sister Rose, whose corpse has been stolen, bringing out the true colors of those who knew her.
Opera star Susanne Mentzer will arrive for an opera theatre residency this week. Mentzer has appeared with nearly all the major opera companies, orchestras and festivals of North and South America, Europe and Japan. For over 20 years she has sung leading roles at the Metropolitan Opera.
The Music Therapy Club will host its annual Music Therapy Awareness Week from Feb. 6 through 10. The awareness week will open with professional therapist Erica Iocco’s presentation on her private practice on Monday, Feb. 6 at 6:30 p.m. in Mason 2018.
