The first Student Composers Concert of the new school year, featuring student instrumentalists and vocalists performing works by both undergraduate and graduate students, will be presented by Ethos New Music Society on Monday, Oct. 7, at 8 p.m. at Rosch Recital Hall. The performance is free and open to the public.
Detroit Symphony principal tubist and upstate New York native Dennis Nulty will perform a recital with faculty member Ray Stewart on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 8 p.m. in Rosch Recital Hall. Mr. Nulty will give a master earlier that day at 3:30 p.m. in Mason Hall 1075. Both events are free and open to the public.
"The focused nature of the week had a potent effect on students' self-accountability and each displayed pride in their accomplishments in their final performances. With the momentum created in the week, the school intends to continue this classical guitar program and further the positive impact it's having on these students."

Pathways to Music provides an opportunity for children and parents to discover the joys of experiencing music while singing, moving, listening, dancing and playing. The Program is designed for children ages 6 months through 5 years old. Each class is a combination of age-appropriate musical activities including songs, finger plays, dances, bouncing games, circle games, instrument exploration, lullabies and more.
