Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting or Musical Theatre: The Department has initiated a pre-screening process for its Bachelor of Fine Arts programs in Acting and Musical Theatre through Acceptd, one of the largest online admissions portals for the Fine Arts in the country. On-campus auditions are by invitation only, based on faculty review of pre-screening materials. Students wishing to audition for the BFA programs in Acting and Musical Theatre must go through the pre-screening process to be considered for an on-campus audition. If invited to an on-campus audition, you will be asked to indicate your preferred audition date. While we cannot guarantee a preferred date, we will do all we can to accommodate your schedule and travel concerns.

Students who are invited to audition for the Acting and Musical Theatre programs must attend an on-campus audition to be considered for admission to the program. This allows us to meet you in person, to listen to your audition, to ask questions, and to give you the opportunity to tour our facilities and to ask questions of us. We understand that travel to Fredonia can be a hardship for some, and under certain circumstances we will work with students for whom travel to Fredonia presents an extreme hardship. Fredonia is located approximately 50 miles southwest of Buffalo NY, which is served by air travel, bus, and Amtrak. Accommodations are available in Buffalo or Fredonia.

To begin the audition process for the Acting or Musical Theatre programs, please use this link, which will take you to the Department's audition portal page at Acceptd. There, you will find instructions for creating an Acceptd account, logging in, and uploading your material.

International Students: We will accept Acting and Musical Theatre applications from International students via the Acceptd portal. We may ask International applicants for additional material, including dance sequences and full songs. As all instruction at Fredonia is conducted in English, International students whose primary language is not English will have to pass the English Equivalency tests or TOEFL Exams.
